The outdoor pool is at room temperature and the indoor pool has the standard Pestana group temperature of 25º. Both pools are freshwater.

What would you highlight about Pestana Douro Riverside
A nice stay in a beautiful city.
The place is generously spacious, view (especially from the pool) magnificent. The hotel is well placed, not in the center but not far from everything essential. It offers a very good parking facilities which worked with us very well as we rented a car. The reception staff acts very professionally.
The reason why the review is a bit reserved was the cleaning of our room, which was random and superficial. The cleanliness of the hotel, in general, was very good.

Perfect.
Breakfast was brill. Wide variety of all different foods that cater for different nationalities. Location was great, only a 5 euro Uber drive to Porto city centre.

Fabulous stay would definitely recommend
Fabulous location and the staff were so helpful
After our evening meal my son was desperate to play pool with a friend he made at the hotel, other people we’re playing on the pool table, so when it came to their turn it was late and halfway through the came they had to stop, as the staff take the balls away, due to noise. If you can let people play pool later that would be fantastic, as the noise isn’t heard in the rooms.

What would you highlight about Pestana Douro Riverside
Both female employees at the front desk need more training and be more proactive and more friendly.
Food was delicious with many choices to choose from. The hotel was clean and beautiful.
The 2 female employees that worked the front desk were rude and obnoxious and I stood in front of the counter and waited to be check in. Both of them didn't even looked up to assist me. There was no one there and both ladies were not assisting anyone at the time. I stood there for a few minutes without anyone acknowledged my presence. However, a man walked up after me and they both helped him with his check in. I went back to the front desk the day after and both female employees ignored me and treated me with their cold shoulder. It was a very unpleasant experience.
